THE STORY BEHIND THE PHOTOGRAPH

David RossWood of Cree is a small woodland nature reserve, operated by the RSPB, north of Newton Stewart. There are circular walks through the woodland, with inerpretive panels telling about the abundant bird life. Amid the woodland are several small waterfalls, like this one. This is just one of a series of waterfall photos I took over the course of several hours exploring the woods. I've noticed that I often feel drawn to long exposures, to soften the rushing of the waters, as compared to freezing the water to show more drama. Don't ask me why I prefer the softer look, it just appeals to something in me!David Ross Photography signature
