THE STORY BEHIND THE PHOTOGRAPH

David RossScale Force is a beautiful series of falls on the hillside above Crummock Water. The falls are most commonly reached by a fairly gentle and reasonably well-marked path from Buttermere village, though to be honest the trail rather disappears amid the marshy hillside.
