THE STORY BEHIND THE PHOTOGRAPH
I wish I knew what this mountain is called! This view is from the Camas Torsa picnic area just west of the village of Salen, at the eastern end of the Ardnamurchan peninsula. I love this area, and I photographed the loch on numerous occasions over the course of a wonderful week I spent at nearby Kentra. On this occasion I arrived well before sunrise and was rewarded with a magnificent experience; the entire sky was a symphony of magenta and orange colour. I tried several different angles of view, looking east along the loch, and this is one of my favourites. I have looked at all my OS maps, but I just can't figure out what peak this is. Perhaps Beinn Resipol? If you know better, please contact me and let me know!
