THE STORY BEHIND THE PHOTOGRAPH
If you take the B869 minor road frm Unapool towards Drumbeg, the route takes you through a magnificent tangle of woodland. Far below the road runs a small stream called Allt na Ghamhna, which empties into Loch a Chairn Bhain. On this occasion the day was wet and dreary, so naturally I decided to scramble down the hillside and photograph the stream. Scramble is a good description, for the going was very wet and slippery, with heavy moss underfoot. But I loved the quietly rushing water, and the green and gold of the autumn leaves. This is a scene that very few people will ever see, but I'm pleased that I made the descent nonetheless!
